Brilliant Burgham & House Progress

Well I have absolutely no idea how we are in September already but here we are. Dare I say very much on the home straight towards Christmas…?!

After what has been a really quite difficult few months in so many ways August brought with it a very welcome dose of positivity.

Firstly I had the absolute pleasure of heading up to Burgham International Horse Trials. Always one of my favourite events and while it traditionally gets an exceptional field of horses and riders, this year went to a whole new level. The start list for the 4* included a massive 155 entries with almost every horse you could hope to see in this country in the line up.

The team at EquiRatings were kept very busy through the weekend with records falling all over the place. Ros Canter recorded her best ever international dressage test on her way to victory with Allstar B and Oliver Townend was on flying form to become the first person to take 4 international wins at the same venue in one weekend.

If you fancy a little insight into what Allstar B looked like warming up for his (19.7!) test, Mr Bass cruising Cross Country & Ballaghmor Class’s show jumping round then I’ve done a little vlog. You can watch it here & I would love to know what you think so drop me a comment or a message too.

At home we’ve also had the builders start and they’ve made some brilliant progress in a little over a week. Safe to say they probably think I am bonkers; I’ve been bouncing off the walls in excitement at every wall or window knocked out, that’s what living in a caravan does for you I think!

I’m now knee deep in picking bathrooms, looking at tiles and trying to make all manner of decisions. I am so much more confident and comfortable than when we did the last house but there is an added degree of pressure seeing as we plan to stay here so it’s all long-term decisions and if I get it wrong then I have to live with it!

I’ll keep you posted on progress over the coming months but things are moving which feels amazing and no doubt a savior to our sanity too!

I’ll keep things posted up on Instagram so head over to take a look @nicolebrownmedia.

Until next time,

Nicole
